In the lead up to the 2017 Toy Hobby and Licensing Fair, The Australian Toy Association (ATA) announced the introduction of a prestigious new Award to be presented at the ATA Gala Dinner – The 2017 ATA Rising Star Award.
The Award has been introduced with the intention of recognising and celebrating the industry’s bright young stars who are making a name for themselves in Australia and around the world.
The award is judged by a panel of independent judges and is open to member companies and individuals only.
Nominations must be based on an individual’s (aged 35 or under) contribution to a business in the previous year to the Fair and this can include their impact on a business’ culture, financial performance, innovation or strategic direction or any other factor a nominee deems significant.
ATA President, Andrew Skinner said the Award was conceived to recognise a young person who is making a difference at any level of an organisation.
“Nominees for the Rising Star Award can fill any position within a member company; from a company director to a member of the sales team to a part-time admin assistant… there are so many young people making a difference in a range of roles!” said Mr Skinner.
Entries must be made in the form of a 500-word letter or email detailing why the nominee should be considered and applications will be available later in 2017.
