An entertaining and enlightening affair at the LIMA Australia Licensing BreakfastLIMA Breakfast

One day 3 of the Fair, LIMA Australia in collaboration with the Australian Toy Association, Nickelodeon VIACOM Consumer Products Australia & New Zealand and Warner Bros. Consumer Products Australia & New Zealand held its annual LIMA Australia Retail Licensing Breakfast which featured special guest speaker Andre Reich, Target's Chief Operating Officer.

The event also included opening addresses from Ben Richardson, SVP & General Manager at Viacom, Media Networks Australia & New Zealand and Charles Riotto, President of LIMA.

Due to the success of previous years, the event was held in a larger venue at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre which was packed with attendees who, after a delicious breakfast, were keen to hear from Andre Reich who heads up one of Australia’s largest retailers.

Ahead of Andre’s keynote address, Ben Richardson introduced his business' show-reel and outlined how television remains an influencing force for millennials and the licensing industry while Charles Riotto outlined the growing strength of the licensing industry and the opportunities for growth in Australia.

Andre Reich then took the stage where he energetically spoke of the challenges Target has faced in recent times and what the business is doing to position itself for future success. Amongst other themes, he reiterated the importance of licenced products in Target’s future plans and discussed his reasoning for discontinuing the annual mid-year toy sales.

The event was enlightening and well received by all and the ATA looks forward to working with LIMA to roll-out more functions in the future.
