2016 Toy Hobby & Licensing Fair

The 2016 Australian Toy Association (ATA) Toy Hobby and Licensing Fair kicked off on Saturday 19 March with more than 4,600 retailers, exhibitors, media and buyers coming together at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

A record breaking 205 exhibits were on show over the four days, filling the venue with colour, movement and amazing toys.

The Australian Toy Association’s Toy of the Year was awarded to Moose Enterprises for their Qixels 3D Maker. Another big win was Lego, taking home Girls Toy of the Year for their LEGO® Friends Amusement Park Roller Coaster and Hasbro winning Boys Toy of the Year for the Yo-kai Watch. The Educational Toy of the Year was won by Life’s Little Luxuries for their Magformers.

The venue was filled with fantastic displays and installations from event sponsors, Cartoon Network, Disney, Nickelodeon & LIMA who all contributed generously to the Fair.

2017 Fair Dates & Times

Sunday 5th March - 9.00am to 5.00pm
Monday 6th March - 9.00am to 5.00pm
Tuesday 7th March - 9.00am to 5.00pm
Wednesday 8th March - 9.00am to 3.00pm  

This event is strictly for trade only. Those eligible for admission include retailers, wholesalers, buying groups, etc. Registrants must present business identification.

No one under the age of 13, including infants, will be admitted under any circumstance. Babies under the age of 1 year will be permitted if in a pram or suitable carry harness.
