Judges Choice Award
The ATA Program of Awards is an integral part of the Australian Toy Hobby and Licensing Fair as it aims to celebrate the outstanding performances achieved by our industry through products, licenses and individual successes.
A separate ‘Judges Choice Award’ will be open to Toy Fair Exhibitors only and this will be awarded to a new and exciting product that our judging panel predict will be a success in the Australian market.
2026 Toy Fair Exhibitors can now apply for Judges Choice Awards.

Judges Choice Junior Award (Ages 0-6)
Entry Criteria:
- Product must be suitable for children 0-6
- Entry to ‘The Judges Choice Award’ is open to Toy Fair Exhibitors only
- Must be new product first released in Australia after January 2026
- An entry may be a prototype but must be suitable for judging
- Maximum of two entries per exhibitor
- Entry must be an individual product (assortments accepted)
Judging Criteria:
- Uniqueness/innovativeness
- Play appeal/value
- Sales potential
Judges Choice Award (Ages 7-12)
Entry Criteria:
- Product must be suitable for children 7-12
- Entry to ‘The Judges Choice Award’ is open to Toy Fair Exhibitors only
- Must be new product first released in Australia after January 2026
- An entry may be a prototype but must be suitable for judging
- Maximum of two entries per exhibitor
- Entry must be an individual product (assortments accepted)
Judging Criteria:
- Uniqueness/innovativeness
- Play appeal/value
- Sales potential
Judges Choice Kidult Award (Ages 12+)
Entry Criteria:
- Product must be suitable for Kidults 12+
- Entry to ‘The Judges Choice Award’ is open to Toy Fair Exhibitors only
- Must be new product first released in Australia after January 2026
- An entry may be a prototype but must be suitable for judging
- Maximum of two entries per exhibitor
- Entry must be an individual product (assortments accepted)
- Entries must not contain any indecent language or themes
Judging Criteria:
- Uniqueness/innovativeness
- Play appeal/value
- Sales potential
Judging of all awards will be carried out by independent industry experts.
